Students in these grades have left elementary school and entered middle school. The most notable change is the classroom structure. No longer will instruction take place in a self-contained classroom environment. Students will be assigned a homeroom and will rotate among classes. The junior high classes revolve around a "modified block". The block schedule gives teachers ample time to cover a topic more deeply than a typical 45 minute class. Students benefit by learning the subject instead of covering the topic.

The core subjects in the middle school program include religion, English, math, science, and social studies as well as ongoing instruction in art, music, and physical education. Technology is interwoven and integrated into each subject. Field trips, service oriented projects, and interscholastic sports programs enhance the regular classroom experience.
