We’ve been at work for several weeks now getting ready for the start of an amazing school year!!! One department, in particular, that has been doing a million and five things in preparation for welcoming students back to school is Plant Services. Ron Sulzle, our Plant Manager (AKA Mr. Ron, AKA The Man) and his incredible team:Taylor, Stacey and Stephan. On any given day you can find them touching up the paint in the parking lot, mowing the fields, helping teachers with classroom repairs and projects, moving desks (lots of desks!!!!), cleaning the school, building things for the school, landscaping the campus… and that’s the short list!!! They are all awesome and we are so thankful for everything they do; we are blessed and lucky to have them as part of the PAES family!!!

One recent project that deserves an extra special shout out is our fresh playground bark chips. Bark chips are the unsung hero of many a playground… having fresh chips keeps the kids safe, helps keep the ground cleaner and makes for an all around nicer playing experience (Mmmm, fresh bark chips smell great too… Big Lake, anyone?!!!?).

PAES wishes to say a very special thank you to Boring Bark. They provide our bark chips at a discount, something that truly helps the school out. We are proud to use Boring Bark, a local family-owned business that provides amazing service and high quality products!

Another big thank you goes out to Moen Machinery. They are generous and provide Ron with one of their big bucket tractors free of charge to use for distributing the bark chips around campus. Wow, just take that in for a moment! This is such an incredible help to Ron and his crew… hauling and spreading the bark chips by wheelbarrow and rake would literally take days upon days upon days. Using the Moen tractor, they are able to get the work done in one day.

It’s been said many times, but it’s incredibly true: “It takes a village”. We think we have a pretty great village… full of amazing teacher and staff, amazing students and families and amazing community. We are thankful to each and every person who gives their time, talents and resources to help make PAES better and better. THANK YOU!!!
